I've been watching this one on GB for quite a while. It went through at least 3 cycles without getting picked up, so I decided to go for it. It appears to be one of the 1997 Zanders blued slide-anodized frame units. For $375, I figured, why not? Here are the GB photos until I can get it in hand for some of my own.

I've got one in the box . Also have 2 of their m457s . Haven't seen any other models though I would think they made them . I shoot the one , the other is lnib . The finish doesn't hold up well if you use it a lot . But , they are different .

I've been looking off and on for another 3913 with the "standard" type frame to complement my NL, but of course, kept finding other stuff ( 4513 TSW, CS45, etc.) instead. This'll be as good a stand-in for a "real" 3913/14 as any. Most of my accumulation are shooters, so this one won't feel out of place. And it's value line #2 for me with a 457 already in the safe. No range report until I'm done with rehabbing the replacement shoulder, though. :(

How's the rehab going? A friend of mine is having his shoulder replaced as I type this. I hope your replacement worked well so I can give him good news. :D

Thanks. It's OK but slow going. I ended up with a reverse total replacement on the right side because my rotator cuff was "trashed," to quote the surgeon. I have good motion forward, but I can't even try to reach behind my back until I'm 12 weeks out (had it done Feb.6) or I'll dislocate it. (Yikes!) I do therapy twice a week, with various stretches, etc., to do at home. I'm not supposed to lift anything over a couple pounds or so - for instance, I'm not able to pull back a slide on a semi. (I'm a lefty, but I normally shoot right-handed.) Heck, I had to pick up a couple left-handed holsters so I wouldn't have to go out undressed.
Bottom line: it's very painful. Very. Tell your friend "good luck" and do every bit of therapy, it'll make it all worthwhile in the end.

Finally picked up the 908 today. Sheesh, took the shop in NY 10 days to get it in the mail.
Looks just as good as the seller's photos, and maybe even a little better. It came with the blue plastic box with the correct label. As I suspected, this is product code 130108, the two-tone made for Zanders Sports in 1997. The date code is 7027, 1/27/1997. It also has all the papers behind the foam rubber in the box. It looks like it was carried a lot more than it was fired, as there is little to no wear inside but a small ding in the rear sight and blemishes on the grips in addition to the wear on the slide and the edge of the trigger guard. I might have to move this one into the rotation and let the 3913 be a safe queen for a while. Overall, I'm happy with it.

Do we know how many two tone 908s Zander hade made?

Amazing how much I've learned on this forum! I never knew Zanders did a special run on the 908 and 457. A close Friend has an FFL and we'd regularly go to Zanders as it was cheaper to drive there than pay the haz mat fees.

Thanks for posting, really good looking 908. I'd sure be tempted to put Trijicon night sights on that 908.
