In memory of Tom Wolfe, I'm starting a two-tone shoes thread.

We'll see where this goes. . .

Well, this is the 21st Century after all, and everyone has the right to self-identify as they wish. If your special friends like two-tone shoes I think you should wear them proudly, put it all out there for everyone to see!

It is OK to be different. Maybe not at my house, but wherever you want to be different is up to you.

The only time I've seen a pari of shoes like that was onscreen. Any fans of Robert Rodriguez film "Desperado" (1995) will recall Bucho's red & white leather shoes as he walked in to observe the carnage after the shootout at the Tarasco bar.:)

I've always liked two-tone wingtips. The lighter ones go great with a seersucker suit when I have to get dressed up during the hot weather here in the South. Not sure how this translates to other parts of the country.

Back in 69 or 70 I had a pair like the brown and white ones. They were the cats meow back then.

Old friend of mine asked his wife to stop by Cox's Mens Wear and pick up his new seersucker suit. She got confused and went to Sears.

I have 3 pair of two tone shoes but they aren't "severe" and don't have white in them. They are Allen Edmond Loafers - 1 pair is mostly black with brown trim, another pair is a medium tan with chestnut brown trim and the third is burgundy with a tan trim.

Even though they are all two tone, they are a "mild" two tone and don't scream out at you.
