Have you seen this thing?? It's one ounce of silver, but the design is pathetic. I guess the US Mint doesn't employ engravers anymore. It's obviously computer designed (very little time expended), which explains it's total lack of quality workmanship. The last nice coins were of the Standing Liberty era. Shame, Shame!

Now that is one pathetic looking "coin".... technically a medal I guess. Not something I think I'd be buying.

The only 9/11 I get from the thing is the slight hint of the Twin Towers on one side. The rest of it is just poorly done IMHO. It only takes a seconds worth of time looking at a Saint Gaudens Double Eagle to know we have already done much better.

With a second look, the cartoon eagle kind of pisses me off that this would be a 9/11 commemorative of any sort. The whole thing just looks cheap and tacky. It's just garbage. It doesn't even say "Never Forget"... What a train wreck.

Definitely uninspired and unimaginative. Not interested.

The obverse looks like it commemorates the Olympics, or a scene from a movie set in Ancient Greece or Rome, the reverse reminds me of a recruiting poster from WWII-I recall one urging the viewer to join the Paratroops and "Jump like an Eagle on the enemy below."
