Just received a UBG Holsters Regulator for my M&P 40 fullsize and extremely pleased with its craftsmanship, fit and finish. This is my second one from Nate and it's great to see high quality consistency with his custom orders (only 5 weeks to fulfill). I highly recommend them! UBG Holsters

The Regulators are $70 in black leather; $95 for the additional sharkskin trim and loops.

Sorry, haven't used a shoulder rig; I don't think they're very good in concealing when it comes to CCW carrying.

The Regulators are extremely comfortable and my favorites. Below are the ones I use for my various needs while concealed carrying.

It's really tough for me to have 1 holster that fits all situations, so I have a small quiver of IWB/OWB's depending on my needs with both my Glock 27 and M&P 40 fullsize.

IWB: TT Gunleather for when I'm wearing suits and need an IWB that's more discreet than the Crossbreed Supertuck.

IWB: High Noon Holster's Tailgunner w/ clip, really easy/convenient on/off for times I'm in & out of Federal/Court buildings and various restricted sites; that stabilizing wing really minimizes the shifting around with the single clip design:

IWB: Crossbreed Supertucks for casual wear and all day comfort; these are the most comfortable IWB's for me:

Wow, those are some nice looking rigs! I guess if you have enough dough, you can purchase a nice carriage, like the ones you have, for each of your pistols. However, after some quick math, it appears that you could have bought another pistol with what you spent on rigs. Not criticizing, just an observation.

Yeah, I hear 'ya on the $$ spent on rigs, especially with an eye on my next handgun. For me re: concealed carry, quality holsters and gun belts that work are necessary components and require the same amount of attention/investment as the firearm itself. Bad situations happen in a few seconds, can't afford any slop or failures when it comes to quickly drawing and rapidly placing 2 rounds at the source of the threat.

.... besides, all cheaper than a Harley

I've had the G27 for over 10 yrs and it's smaller than the M&P 40 compact. Wanted to check out the M&P so went fullsize.

I've been eyeballing a Kimber Ultracompact for the next cc, been wanting a single stack .45

Hickok45 (a self-professed Glock devotee) did a decent side-by-side comparison of the G27 and 40c. According to his vid, the size difference between the two of them is negligible. YouTube - hickok45's Channel

Kimber's are cool, but a tad over-priced, IMO, unless you can find a used one in good shape. I think their price is partially reflected in their marketing costs. There are lots of other "1911" choices for about the same amount of money. I've been eye-balling, make that drooling over, S&W's new 1911e's.
