The picture is of Shel Silverstein, beatnik poet and writer. I often read his stuff in Playboy magazine back in the 60's, there was some stuff that was actually good reading. My favorite poem he wrote was called "Don't give a dose to the one you love most." Another of his poems was "I was stoned and I missed it."
