I am currently using Hodgdon Universal Clays for my SW 745 (180 gr. Laser Cast SWC with 5.6 gr. of powder) and SW 52 (148 gr. Magtech LWC with 3.2 gr. of powder). Both these are providing me with sub 2 inch groups at 25 yards and less than 2.5 inches at 50 yards.

I now want to build a target load for my SW 952 for the 9mm cartridge. Does anyone have any experience in using Universal Clays for this cartridge? I am wanting to use the Penn 115 gr. LSWC for the bullet.

Yes, I do. As you've seen from the other two calibers it's very accurate.

I wanted a +P+ level load for my Glocks and got it easliy. With a Remington 115 gr. JHP at 1360 fps it was still very accurate.

If you go to Hodgdon's site they have lots of loading data.

Universal Clays

Thanks for the information. I have visited Hodgdon's site and they do have a lot of data. I have Universal Clays, HP38, HP6 and Titegroup available. I will be using cast bullets.

Cast bullet 9mm loads using Universal Clays

Both of these loads use a 124/125 grain cast bullet, either RN or CN, COL at 1.125- 1.130:

4.0 grains Universal (extremely mild target load, very accurate).
4.3 grains Universal (duplicates recoil of standard factory loads, good accuracy, clean).

Thank you Kean; I am hoping that I can obtain some good accuracy in my 952 using this powder. That would allow to use the same powder for all three of my target pistols.
