Universal Clays for 45 acp

I don't see the mix up. Hodgdon's Clays line has 3 powders:
Clays
International Clays = International
Universal Clays = Universal

I might have missed the post that mixed them up but I don't think there was one. (but I could be wrong)

The post about pressure spiking was in reference to clays.

Universal Clays is pretty tame. It is a good mid-range MODERN propellant. A much better choice than Unique IMO.

Universal is almost like Unique but you can use LESS to get the same velositys in my 38 and 357 mag testing. Even does well in light lead target loads in the snub nose 38 with 125 & 158gr bullets, for me.

Cleaner, meters better, a step up from Unique in some loads.

For me, Universal replaced W231/HP38 which replaced Unique many years back because it was so flaky.

No comparison between it and "Clays". Universal may not be the "best" in any caliber, but for me it's mighty fine for what I shoot!
