WWII Japanese type 30 for Arisaka made by Nagoya arsenal with jinsen arsenal stamp? Or its an unknown mfg’er under Nagoya supervision if there is a “K” in the star, cant tell from pic. Collector would be interested.
How can you tell it's a last ditch bayonet? It looks pretty good, but what do I know? Seems there is considerable collector interest in it.
This one is similar and I was told it was French from long ago.
Been in the hobby for over 40 years, have enough reference books and experience. Last ditch bayonets are very Rough, crude compared to the early ones. Serial number is on end of pommel. Have a friend that goes to Japan to sell swords back to them, the stories he has…..How can you tell it's a last ditch bayonet? It looks pretty good, but what do I know? Seems there is considerable collector interest in it.
You were told wrong. It’s Japanese as well. This one is similar and I was told it was French from long ago.
Look on gunbroker or go to a decent show, should be a few there. Type 1’s in good condition bring ok $$ but last ditch and pole types are big $$$$.Any idea on value.
