UPDATE for my Heavy Duty now in hand

All is well ...... Perfect timing/lockup. Buttery smooth DA and crisp/light SA. A couple screws are "buggered" but I can dress them. The elk grips are from my other HD. I think future "keeper' grips will be for that one. The diamond targets it came with I like better on "Bernies" first year Highway Patrolman. I REALLY like the balance, heft, and look of the 6 1/2" barrel !

Beautiful pairing of stocks and revolver on the HD!

My personal feeling is that the target stocks are merely a canvas to be used to file to fit your hand.

When I have to have wood stocks, this is my preferred combination,

They are addictive, glad I grabbed a couple while prices were only sorta crazy!


I think the 5" is a "Transition"? shipped in Aug of 1946

The 4" is from June 1954. Sorry about the crappy quick pics.
