I was thinking about sending a model 60 I have to D&L to have them install their sights but now I'd rather carry a 442 no lock. Is there anyone that can mil the front sight down and install a pin on front sight and then install a rear sight similar to what D&L does? Everyone I've seen so far says they require it have a factory pin on front sight already.

You'll just have to ask some of the gunsmiths. I've never heard of it being done, but that doesn't mean it can't be done. Matter of fact, I would start by calling the Performance Center first. Maybe they can take care of you.

Hamilton Bowen has a similar sight system. I don't know if either Bowen or D&L will install their rear sights on an airweight, though.

However, many gunsmiths can install a dovetail front sight. Aside from Bowen and D&L I know Cylinder & Slide and XS Sights will do it. I've often thought about putting a gold bead front sight on my 642.

Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I'm sure there are others.

Bowen will install his rear sight on a 442. He did mine about a year ago and it made a huge difference.
