Does anyone have experience with this group? If so, is it a worthwhile program? Thanks for your comments/thoughts.

Although I've been with 'em pretty much from the beginning, I've (thankfully) never had to call 'em. But a friend did. He had to shoot two pit bull dogs that attacked him and his wife. TX law says you can shoot dog that's attacking you, but it's a crime to fire a gun within 1,000 feet of a residence.

Long story short, the lawyer got there before the police. My friend went home that night, with his gun, and the only citation issued was to the dog owner. My friend's total out-of-pocket cost--nothing.

My only 2 problems with it are:

No bail coverage.

Representation ends with case outcome. If convicted, regardless of how strong the evidence in your favor (anti-gun judge, etc) your appeal is out of your own pocket.

There may not be bail but they had a friend released on a writ of habeous corpus within an hour of arrest and booking. And best of all had all charges dismissed without even a court appearance and before case was taken to a grand jury.

After looking at most of the plans out there I signed up with U.S. Law Shield. They have attorneys on call 24/7 if you ever use a gun.
