My first order with them after seeing the company advertised here went well.I then ordered 1000 rounds of new 38 special ammo on October 1.On October 20th I contacted them and they said they were having problems with shipping and would ship the ammo on the 23rd and refunded the shipping cost. The 23rd came and went with no ammo.I left them a number of emails which were all unanswered and finnaly got in touch with someone on the 31st.I explained the situation once again and they said they would ship the order in one week but you already heard that story before.I told them to cancel the order and I will use another supplier. For all those who want to use this company just be aware of this situation and it may be wise for the forum administrators to investigate this company because they are putting thier stamp of approval on a company that is having problems providing thier product.Thank you ...Mike

Same problem here. I ordered on the 18th of Oct. My card was charged immediately. After a week I sent an email on the status. Was told it would ship that week. Still haven't received the ammo, and now no one will answer my emails. I tried to cancel the order, but that hasn't worked either. Horrible customer service, and very unethical, to say the least. They will not get any more of business.

They have been busy blowing up guns. On another forum I saw pictures of the worst AR15 kaboom I have ever seen, the upper receiver was gone.

I experienced the same problems with delays in an order recently as well as the order not being completed. They finally sent the missing items and I no longer use their service.

saw a 1911 with about the same result.............

Totally unacceptable--especially the blowing up guns part:o
This really sucks as I have both used and reccomended them in the past.
Too many other choices out there to waste time with these hacks.

I am a person who will highly recommend companies that do thier job right but I felt that it was a bit much when the rep said "It will ship in a week but you heard this song before".This post is up to warm other forum members to stay away, especially when they are advertising here.Be well and may God Bless......Mike

I contacted this email address and gave him a detailed synopsis of what happened.Judging from past experience I am not optimistic of a response but either which way I will keep everyone posted. As the rep said in regards to the shipping of the order in a week"You already heard that song before."Be well and God Bless.......Mike

So this is a completely separate company now? What's to become of USA Ammo? Can't imagine it's a good situation for whoever is left there after the Kb! incidents.

From my take on it USA AMMO is still taking but not able to complete orders @ this time. For all those with orders pending it may serve you best to cancel the order and use a alternate vendor who will complete your order.JMHO....God Bless....Mike

Georgia Arms doesn't charge your card til the order is shipped.

FYI

Pat

Thanks for the research Mike,it certianly explanes a lot..

You get what you pay for. When I need factory ammo, I take it off the LGS shelf.

I always order factory ammo and with the S+W Forum carrying the advertising I gave them a chance. When I filled the first order I was told USA AMMO was run by veterans,so if I can support our returning veterans while I shoot I figured it was a win win situation. When this situation developed I figured that I wasn't the only person who was relying on the forum endorsement so I went into posting mode to see what light could be shed upon it.We now know what is up so people can take the appropriate action they see fit.Hope I was of some help to fellow forum members.God Bless....Mike

I was at the Chapman Academy in 1982 and Ray showed the class a factory .45 ACP round with no flash hole that he said cost him a championship.

The moral of his story was quality reloads were as good as factory for reliability. My buddy and I shot all reloads for both classes we took there, over 14,000 rounds between the two of us.

Ray even sold reloads if you wanted to buy your ammo from him. He had 3 Star machines one each in .45 ACP .38 spl. and 9mm.

There was so much brass he tumbled it in a Sears cement mixer.

Let me see if I get this right, USA puts out some crappy ammo and blows up some guns. Then to get out of the liability incurred by blowing up said guns they go out of business and open up again as a new company under a new name. I've seen it before, there are better options out there for safe reloads.

It is true that USA AMMO put out some kaboom ammo and it did take out a few guns. The same thing happened to my 640 357 magnum using Fiochi 38 special ammo and I still use fiochi without reservation. It does happen. The measure of a company's integrity is what happens after such a misadventure takes place. In those instances I was informed that the owners replaced the guns no questions asked and the split is not any move to deflect liability because they readily accepted same.Federal just had a recall of 45 ACP ammo that was loaded to massive pressure. When all is said and done I will try the new factory ammo being offered for sale and will give a complete report of how I like it.Stay tuned and God Bless....Mike
