At the moment my trigger experience is about 8-10 lbs on start, then once over the hump, pull a little more easier and it fires. Then it does the same on next shot.

I assume with the kit, initial pulll will be lighter as it goes over the hump, but what will final step be like, much more sensitive?

Would I then get a click indicating I'm set?

IMHO, the kit for the SD does not turn the SD trigger into the M&P 2.0 trigger. Suggest you call APEX and discuss your expectations.

Sd9ve aftermarket springs

Have any of you experienced light primer strikes or any malfunctions when using apex or other trigger kits in the sd series pistols? I have not installed any in mine. I cut my teeth on revolvers so the rolling heavy trigger doesn’t bother me really. I was just curios about using lighter than stock striker springs and light primer strikes occurring.

I have installed the Apex spring kit into 4 different SD9VE pistols. One of them had light primer strikes. So I replaced just the Apex striker spring back to the factory spring and all is well.

You might have to file the back of the Apex trigger to get it to fire properly. Watch the video and they warn you about that. I had to file mine. I also bought the galloway boudica trigger and I prefer the boudica to the Apex. ( I also had to file and trim the boudica trigger.) I did get light strikes and failure to fire with the apex striker spring and switched back to the original until I bought the galloway trigger. Both kits are an improvement over the original if you don't like the heavy trigger pull.
