Thank you very much for information. I am a new member to this forum and long time Gunboards member. I will post pictures as soon as I figure out proceedure. Bill

I'm pretty sure the box is contemporary to the importation and not the manufacture of the gun. The importer's stampings are usually unpopular with collectors. I would call your gun a nice shooter. The only problem is the 38 S&W ammo it uses. Can be a little pricey and you need to have it on hand as few stores will have it in stock. Or load your own. If you reload everything is available to turn out the short 38 rounds.

Thank you for your reply. I have no doubt that box is importers box as it has printed label with s/n of revolver and old bar code. Included in box as stpated in original post is a brass cleaning rod and old brochure detailing the 8,000 units shipped to Australia during WWII. This gun still in original chambering and appears to be unfired since import. Very nice FTRd condition with bright bore and chambers. Bill

Amazing how these import marked victories have increased in value. When the first came to the country ( I think the batch I am referring to was in perhaps the late 1990's) one of our local FFL's was selling them for 90 bucks each. Had one for some time but grew tired of finding brass and ammo and having an odd ball round to reload.
