I'm helping a friend downsize as he prepares to move to retirement lodging. He has some very nice S&W's that I'm hoping to help him sell:
.44 Magnum 29-5 Classic CX, blue. Factory rubber grips, full lug 6.5" barrel. SN BND 6198 which I think makes it 1989 or so? I'd say ANIB or Excellent + with a very faint turn line and about 5-8% loss of gold on the S&W emblem. Otherwise no blue loss on cylinder or muzzle. Original box with correct end label. All factory paperwork including 50 yard target. He says less than 25 rounds fired.
65-5. Stainless of course, 3" barrel. Correct box with accurate end label. All factory paperwork including the brown wrapping paper. Also Excellent + at least. Light turn line, otherwise ANIB. Came with rosewood combat or boot grips and original RB Magnas. Serial # BRF 1733, so according to Standard Catalog, probably 1994? (I'm still learning to use the SC.)
36 no dash. S&W box but no paperwork or end label. Excellent +. Very faint turn line, otherwise no blueing loss. As noted, I am learning about serial numbers. This one is AHU 1003 for 1986 (?), but based on my ignorance, this seems late for a no dash?
Any assistance, comments, value opinions would be much appreciated. I'm posting two more very nice revolvers in the 61-80 section, a 60 no dash and a 34 no dash.
