Dear S&W Forum members,

I have a Smith & Wesson model 64-2 made in 1981 and engraved by Smith & Wesson for the Delaware State Police. I'm thinking about selling this and I would like to get an idea of its value. Please see the attached pictures. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you in advance for your expertise!

Brian

I have a no dash 64 with 2" barrel with original box, papers and tools that is worth at least $750 to me.... might be worth close to $1K on the big auction site....might bring less, hope this helps.......

Just to be clear, your 64-2 wasn't "factory engraved" for the Delaware SP. S&W didn't engrave revolvers with LE shields.
However, it is a limited production-run revolver with a factory rollmark of the Delaware SP "shield".
The specialty rollmark for a specific LE agency definitely increases its value to collectors who have some connection to that specific LE agency - or to those who collect LE-marked guns.
S&W produced many "special runs" of LE guns like this for a lot of different LE agencies.
The LE rollmark will command a premium - IF you can find the right buyer. Otherwise, its value is basically the same as any other M64-2, 2" revolver.
From the photos you've posted it appears to be in very good condition, and when it comes to value, condition is king.
Do you have the original box, tools, and paperwork?
That will also significantly affect its value.
