Without pictures of each revolver, it is impossible to guess a value. Too much that needs to be seen. Do you own these, or are you looking to buy one or both?

Personally, I'd go for the M29-2 regardless of barrel length or condition (if both are comparable). It has the P&R features I like as well as being older without some of the other newer features (MIM parts, lock, etc.)

Thanks for the reply Hair,
These belong to my deceased Pastor's wife, she is looking to sell them. The guns are about 20 miles away. I went to get pics last Friday and as luck would have it the camera on my phone took a dump. Im trying to get a ballpark value for her. I'm sure they will come up for sale soon along with OOW BAR, M1A and Springfield M1 Garand.
Thanks, Joe

Welcome back to the Forum, Joe. Sounds like you don't live too far away from me. Sorry to hear about your Pastor, please accept my condolences. Sounds like he left his wife a nice little collection of desirable firearms, and it's good of you to help her with disposing of them. I think that "pharman" is spot on with his guesstimates for the S&W revolvers, and you might get the best prices for them by advertising in the "Want to Sell" section here on this Forum. There are Forums for the Springfield M1A and the M1 Garand, and the same applies to them. The BAR is a different matter...it's a very cool and pricey rifle, but some collectors or WWI/WWII reenactors may be looking for one. You might also have some luck with these if you get a table at one of the Melbourne gun shows. Good luck with your endeavor.

Thank you Hawg, I'm in Port St John. I sold most of his collection about a year ago, he left her a vault full of firearms. There were approximately 75 of them including 14 MG's of all flavors, many preban rifles ie; AK's, AR's, Fals, etc. he never fired any of them, he just enjoyed having them. I have sold a lot at Melbourne show in the past, it's always been good to me. I appreciate the response, I have sold the 29-2 to a friend who wanted a blued on to go with his Nickel 29-2. I dont have enough posts to put on sale board. I'm getting there, lol. Have a great day my friend
