I have a LNIB stainless Ruger Single Six that just sits in my safe, I prefer my Model 18 & 317 for the range. The gun comes with everything from the factory, to include both cylinders, and is in pristine condition (bought new less than a year ago). I'd like to sell it but have no idea where to price it. Can someone with more knowledge help me here? I tried the interned w/o much success.

Thanks in advance.

gunsamerica, gunbroker may give you a ballpark...

I've been looking for a Single Six for a while now. I'm looking for a 6.5" barrel w /both cyls.. I found a stainless one at a show last WE for $400. I looked at it for a while and in in the end walked away. It's a good thing I did because one of my dogs had an "episode" Monday that involved a Vet bill. To get back to your question, I used to see them used all day for $300. Now they're minimum $425. I'm trying to find an H&R 929 or a HS Sentinel. Last year they were $150-$200. now they're $300. I want a revolver so I can use .22 shorts if I want.

I wouldn't sell it.

You may regret it later.

Value, in my opinion.....
It's worth much more to keep it.

Sir, was it me, I'd go to a couple local shops and see what they're asking for both new and used ones so you'll have a basis for comparison. If the gun's in fact like new, you may be able to get 80% to 90% of the price of a new one.

You can also check Gunbroker. Though many of the prices there are unrealistically high, the "buy it now" prices on new guns are usually pretty accurate.

JMHO, FWIW.

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

Excellent in the box w/both cylinders, papers ect seem to be going for around $400,, give or take a few dollars.

Guns that did not sell because they had higher reserves on them seemed to be bid up to the $400 +/- range also.

W/O the box and papers, a good condition used one gets about $250/to just under $300.

There's always the wildly high selling price and the sleeper deal. I don't count those when trying to figure an average market price from Auction sales.

If they are the birds-head grip variation, 'hunter' variation,,more money.

Just some observations from the completed auctions on GunBroker.
I have no idea what a new one goes for, or if the prices are in line with what a shop would charge for one.
I don't keep up with the newer stuff at all. Just thought it might help out.

I would ask for ~$400.00. You might not get it. But a good starting point.

Mine will never be for sale, it is the most accurate handgun I've ever shot. Every Super Single Six deserves a good home. C.B.
