Went to one of the LGS's today and saw a display of Versacarry "holsters". They looked uncomfortable and the firearm doesn't look very secure. Is anyone using one of these? Would you care to comment before I spend $24.95?

Thanks!

You lost me at 24.95

I have never seenn a cheap holster that wasn't ...... a cheap holster

I just saw a picture of these last night. I'm sure leery about them, can't wait to see if we have any opinions of them.

I've got one. I don't like it. Very uncomfortable and not really tuckable either.

I've got two. I bought the wrong size on my first try. It's alright when standing but sitting in a car is highly uncomfortable/almost painful. It operates as advertised, with ok detention after putting gun oil on the barrel plug and it stays on the belt when I draw the gun. The barrel shaves some plastic off of the barrel plug every time though. I'm not impressed. It's a cool, simple, cheap design, but there are many many better holsters on the market for me to waste time trying to like the versacarry.

I like the iwb holster on nrastore.com that has an elastic pouch for a magazine. It's much more comfortable.

Also, the gun in question was a full size 1911. I've been told the 1911 is good to carry only if you've got the right set up. I haven't found the right holster.

those look like a barrel obstruction waiting to happen at the worst possible time

It looked great on the web site, and the video there really made me pay attention.

But, I hated it.
