Our Veterans that has had facial injuries (burns, trauma) while serving, does the Government (VA) offer plastic surgery to them?

This is sort of second hand, so take it as that. I had to have some facial surgery done not long ago. Medical, not cosmetic. A plastic/reconstructive surgeon did the work. When I met with him, he had a "certificate of appreciation" from the VA for 25 years of service.

Being a veteran, I asked him about it. He said he's been doing reconstructive surgery at the VA hospital in my city a couple times a month for those 25 years.

Bases on that, I'm thinking the answer to your question is "yes," but again that's second hand, not direct knowledge.

I knew a veteran who attempted suicide by placing a shotgun under his chin pulling the trigger. Didn’t kill him but blew his jaw and nose off . The VA did extensive plastic surgery on him and wanted to do more but he refused because it was too painful.

I’m not sure, but they offer free breast implants to women soldiers these days (not making that up) so I’d be surprised if they didn’t offer such for sounder folks.
