My Dad, a Korean War vet, Atilliery guy, (saw quite a bit of action) partaked of Applebees free chow last year and had a great time, meeting other WW2, Korea and Vietnam veterans. He spent about three hours eating free food and shooting the breeze with other veterans. A worthy outing for any veteran....
I spent 22 trouble free years in the U.S. Navy (1979-2001), never saw any combat, my only worry was if I would have enough money when the ship pulled into port, air conditioning and hot meals every day. I still go by Golden Corral every Veterans day and enjoy a free meal on them, hats off to those who recognize our nations veterans..
