To pay homage to the end of WWI.

Here's a pic of my maternal Grandfather who served with the 36th "Texas" Division in WWI, he fought besides the 2nd Division which was half Marines.

He hated Marines, he said they were always trying to steal the Army's BAR's. Good Marines, they were!!

He has been long deceased but not forgotten.

Here is my grandfather. Harry Powell served in the Illinois Corp Ordinance in France in 1918. He survived a mustard gas attack, but died 1n 1933 when my mother was 7 years old.

That looks like a "full dress" uniform which might have been uncommon to a lot of Doughboys back then. Really cool, unique pic.
