I am thinking of trying Steel Challenge and using the Victory. When firing double taps today the slide release lever was "wacking" the knuckle of my thumb on my support hand left hand. I was using the hold I do on my other pistols-mostly Glocks, 1911 or Taurus TX22. Then I placed my thumb under the slide lever which I think I caused the slide to lock back. I now wished I had paid better attention as to whether my thumb placement caused this. Has anyone else had a problem with the slide lever hitting their support hand thumb and if so what was the cure. I can double band aid the thumb or maybe try shooting gloves. Or forget the Victory for S.C. and use the TX22 SCR Competition. Clearly the Victory as a "target" pistol is more accurate than the Taurus but the Taurus I think is accurate enough for S.C.

No, I haven't. I have one question though, are you using stock grips on your Victory? I asked because I replaced my stock grips on my Victory with thumbrest grips and really made a change in how it fit my hand. As much as I liked the stock grips, the new ones were better for me.

I have the same grips as Wproct and have no issue. It could come down to your hand size or the particulars of your grip. There is a video out there by Massad Ayoob that talks about different types of grips which might be helpful.
