Went to a small high school in west central Ks. Was not a friend of mine, but Ron Jarvis was from my high school and died in Vietnam while serving our country.

Captain Louis John Speidel 101st Airborne Division, 2nd Squadron, 17th Cavalry, Trp B, US Army. Not family but the son of my first bosses, Lou and Ann Speidel. Terrific family. Tragic loss, as were they all. May they all Rest In Peace.

I served in Vietnam. 1970-1971. My roommate was killed on his way home while flying in a C-123 from Phan Rang to Cam Ranh Bay as did sixteen other Americans.

11 of my college classmates died and 4 were POWs.

I think of them every day. I tell them I am not anxious to join them right away but keep the beer cold for the day that I do.
