About 99% sure these are vole holes. I seen the little mouse like pest run down a hole. A got several areas where the holes are in a line every 6in maybe more.

I read that regular mice poisons with traps work but I was looking for something to dump down the holes to let em munch on. I found Sweeney's mole and gopher poison peanuts. Reckon that will work?

Our area is the vole capitol of the world, it seems. The only thing that really seems to keep 'em in check around our place are our three formerly feral cats, General A.P. Hill, General Stonewall Jackson, and Norman Bates.

If it wasn't for those three, I don't think all the poison in the world could control the voles we have around here.

Good luck in your quest!

That Sweeney stuff is good stuff! I use that on them and Chipmunks! Just pour it down their holes, and along straight runs where you see them go.
My problem is that my local Lowes isn't handling it anymore!
I sit out on my deck in the morning with a BB gun, a shovel and a cup of coffee, my morning hunting expedition, ;)

Oh man, I would love to have a vole "problem!"

I have a vole-free perimeter of about twenty feet from my house, courtesy of the Feline Enforcement Squad.

Only my vet knows the true cost of such an operation, but she did just buy a brand-new SUV...

Not if you have a swimming pool you don't, they can cause problems to pool liners. I've been pretty lucky so far.;)
