New offering from VZ, think I'm going to like em. Final verdict will be reserved for after a little range time. For now ck them out.

I had a set on my 625-8PC that I use for IDPA. I loved the way they fit my hand and the gun, but, even on a soft shooting round like .45 ACP (170 PF), they hurt after while. They are small and hard and impart almost all the recoil directly to the hand - there is no give to the grip. I'm probably just getting soft in my old age, but for game guns, or any gun that gets shot a lot, I think rubber is the way to go. I moved the VZ grips to a fun gun that doesn't get shot a lot.

JMHO / YMMV

Adios,

Pizza Bob

They are currently not planning a round to square conversion for their target style grips, in case anyone was wondering... :(

I absolutely love the VZs for my 686 RB in terms of feel and look but then I shot my 686 with the RB to SQ conversion and they felt so much better. I wish they would make a set like that.

I think the wood grips that came with my SSR are the best though.
