Hey gang,
I'm very shortly going to apply for my Resident Ohio CCW permit. I've read through the checklists and have found that I have to make an appointment with the Sheriff's office to drop off an application. I live in Franklin county, but am considering making an appointment with the (neighboring) Delaware county Sheriff's office because I've heard the wait just for an application appointment is much longer in Franklin county. So first off, anything wrong with this? Is there anything wrong with applying at a Sheriffs office in a county that you are not a resident in? (Delaware county is adjacent to Franklin county). I would think not since the application form is the same regardless of county, but I'm not sure.
Second, once your application is submitted, does the wait for your permit vary depending which county you submitted in, or do they all go to one singular pool? Get what I'm asking? Say Franklin county receives way more applications than Delaware county... Will my wait for the permit be shorter if I submit in Delaware? Or does that not factor in?
Thanks for any information guys, always appreciated!
