I'm a fan also, but I had to record it so I could watch the Cards whip the Brewers.

Wouldn't miss it. Good epp tonight. Important lesson: always be able to reassemble your weapon in moments, or don't disassemble your weapon unless you've got another ready.

Never saw an episode last year but I watched the premiere tonight since I went right by where they filmed the car wreck scene several times. Not bad but I'll have to see more before I say I'm a fan.

Grown men talking about a zombie show - good grief! The Vikings were on at the same time. Of course, I wouldn't miss it. I had Amazon put me on the pre-release for the BluRay disc season one compendium... Zombie brains splattered in detail - yum. Great start last night.

How'd the Vikings do?

Did anyone catch the snubnose square-butt the guy in the tent did himself in with?

I don't have Tivo, so I couldn't pause for proper identification.

Anyone else?

I like the way they are expanding the "redneck" character into a more responsible, balanced person ... as opposed to his brother.

Watched it even though it conflicted with my Bears stomping the Vikings. Looks like its going to be another great season.

The "Redneck character" is Norman Reedus, who played one of the McManus brothers in "Boondock Saints" and "Boondock Saints 2-All Saint's Day". They enjoy quite a cult following, I recommend renting them. Be aware, lots of cursing and gratuitous violence, but hilarious as well.
Did they ever find the Redneck's brother, who disappeared in season one?

They found his hand... last season!

The suicide revolver last night was recovered by the redneck - later given to Laurie, the deputy's wife. Grown men watching zombie shows, indeed!

Gads, I am hooked... and badly. I like 'Man, Woman, Survive', too... glad there aren't any more 'Twin Peaks' reruns now. Naw, that needed an interpreter.

Da Bears won. Vikings should have invited Favre back...

I'm pretty sure it was an older model Colt Detective Special.

Great start to the new season. I loved the wandering herd of zombies, and the post-mortem in the woods.

I'm really starting to dislike the old fart who drives the bus. I'm glad blondie gave him a reality check.

Can't wait for next week.

I watched all the first season and I'll watch all of this one. That said, there's a voice in the back of my head that tells me I allow this show more slack than it probably deserves.

I don't mind it not being a free-for-all zombie-slaying affair. In fact, I like that they're saying it's more of a drama than a shoot-em-up. Unfortunately, if you're going to stake your zombie project on drama...you'd better have good drama. I'm not seeing it so far.

Last night's episode was a solid twenty minutes crammed into a ninety-minute block. The whole scene on the highway was great (reminded me of a bunch of old war movies where you've got a submarine waiting out a depth charge attack). But after that it went off the rails into daytime soap territory and stayed there. Aside from the redneck with the crossbow and the old RV dude there's really no one at this point I'd hate to see get eaten.

That, and commercials every five minutes.

But I'm going to keep watching anyway in hopes they can shake out some kind of decent plotline and some characters who don't think like sheltered suburbanites.

The "migrating" zombies was an interesting twist. The group has just enough members with real life skills to keep them going. It's kind of fun to watch the suburbanites try to grasp the gravity of their situation, rationalize it and adapt to it. The old guy should have let blondie off herself. I believe that the snubbie was a Colt, judging by it's shape and the hammer.

they fired the entire writing staff from season one and have started over in that dept. they just need to realize that these people are surrounded by resources and they walk along ignoring all manner of plot opportunities.

that rv breaking down has gotten so old, just get a brand new one for goodness sake! this is still early on in the disaster, but they've been doing this long enough to have developed some automatic responses to the situation. they need to pay some serious attention to what they write or this show will go under quickly! the audience for this sort of show has a degree of sophistication with the subject matter that will turn them off to foolishness quickly!

My Wife and I have been reeled in since last year, I only wish I could run and shoot a handgun as accurately as some in the movie.
My Son is a firearms instructer and asked me why the sherriff's deputy didn't choose a semi-auto instead of the Colt he carries?
I am a revolver fan and don't have a problem.
