Had one when I was 17 or so,sold it to an acquaintance for $90-$30 more than I paid for it.I thought I'd made a killing but literally regretted it ever since.I missed that pistol, until my old pal Charlie pulled this out of the safe & decided he didn't need it anymore. It was a close one-he took it to a little local show but didn't sell it. He hadn't heard my sad tale of unrequited gun lust-must have hurt too much to talk about. He mentioned his failed effort, saw my eyes widen
in disbelief & we quickly sealed the deal.We both think the green leatherette case is original & the thumb rest grip indicates, I believe,post-1968 importation.I checked the inflation calculator-1969 to 2010-& I made out pretty well.42 years later, lust sated, here it is.

I've always wanted one of those in .22 - don't know why, just do. The ones I have seen have always been priced more than I want to pay. Not that they are not worth x amount, just more than my desire. I've stopped buying guns, so it has joined a whole host of guns that I've always wanted, like a Sako Finnwolf, Python, H&K P7, etc., that I've always liked but wasn't willing to meet the price.

No regrets though. Are you going to shoot it? I remember Skeeter Skelton writing about using one for fun in a rimfire match once!

Very cool gun. I've always wanted a PPK in .22 LR but I would settle for a PP.

I have a Mannhurin PP in .22LR, 1960's production, in original box with paperwork and factory target. Great little pistol, and one I never intend to sell at any price (well, maybe for the RIGHT price, I guess).

Here's mine. Got it in 1994, it is one of the Inter Arms imports that was issued to British troops stationed in Northern Ireland as off duty personal defense weapons. There are no British proofs, supposedly so it wouldn't be ID'd as a British issue. (there's a thread on The High Road site that gives a good account of these particular PP's in .22LR.)

It is one of my favorite pistols. I carry it a lot and it would be one of my contenders in the old "If you could only have one gun" what-if game.

If memory serves me concerning Skeeter Skelton using one in a rimfire match I believe he won the match. Keep shooin'

Those Walther PP's in .22LR are NICE. I've seen them, from time to time, at gun shows, but they were always outside of what I was willing to pay.

The price on them will only go up.

OP. The one you got looks very, very nice.

A range report would be nice.:D
