Important Safety Recall
NOVEMBER 2018 Walther PPS M2 Pistols

Walther Arms, Inc. has recently discovered a potential safety issue with certain PPS M2 pistols. Walther is voluntarily initiating a recall to protect the safety of its customers because under certain conditions it is possible that some of these pistols may fire when dropped.

Please do not load or fire your Walther PPS M2 pistol and contact us immediately to arrange to have your pistol upgraded free of charge.

If your Serial Number is not listed above it is NOT affected by the Recall.

Hmm, I wonder what that is about? Production run issues maybe?

FWIW, I have a PPS Mod 1 and wouldn't trade it for a bucket of shields

I just bought one about two months ago, not included in the recall. Kudos to Walther however for initiating the recall and making it right instead of playing around with "voluntary recall" or whatever. Walther has acknowledged an issue and is willing to fix it.
From what I understand, and it's still very early in the process, they are telling folks it may be 6-8 weeks turnaround. I'm sure this will be a tremendous amount of pistols coming back to Walther.
