I've been trawling the web for accessories for my 15-22.(ive definately got the disease, but no money to feed it lol) I came across the walther eps 3 red dot with 3x magnifier. Which comes with mounts for both. Costs around £150.

However, I havn't found any reviews for it. I did find a german airsoft review on youtube, but obviously i cant unterstand it. It looks the part though.

Has anyone got experience with this sight or another walther red dot? Are they any good? My rifle is purely plinking so i cant justify paying for Aimpoint/EOTech.

Thanks

Leigh

I had a Walther NanoPoint mounted on a Model 41 that didn't make it through a 15 minute range session before the lense came out. I was really disappointed because I had faith in the brand name and thought it was a well designed little unit. I'm not sure if it is a true Walther product or yet another case of private branding somebody else's hardware.

Leigh,

The Walther should work. I've seen folk mount them on 15-22, airsoft, and even paintball guns. Do a tag search on the forum for "Walther." The Sight is a Walther branded product.

Don't try to order a red dot from a USA business or have an individual send you one ( good intentions can be a trip to the pokey). They will be in violation of US ITAR laws. ITAR regulation are in place to prevent US technology with military application from getting in hands. (Big fines and even jail time).

Keep checking the web, or save up the Pounds for a real EOTECH or Aimpoint .

Good luck.

Hi Leigh,

If you're willing to spend £150 on a Walther red dot, then my advice would be to go for something like a Vortex, that's designed to cope with being on a firearm and has a good warranty behind it.

I'm using a Sparc and love it (£179 rrp) but the Strikefire also has a good rep and comes in at £135 rrp. The Walther may be fine for air soft or CO2 (I've seen one on a CP88 before), but why gamble on it when you can have something specifically designed for a firearm?

BravoLima,
You are the man. Forgot about the Vortex. Great Red Dots for 15-22 and those pesky zombies, as mention early... they don't have the finger dexterity to operate the trigger!!
