I had an opportunity to try out the Julie Goloski special edition M&P a while back, and really liked the Warren Tactical sights that it comes with. I've also fired a few Glocks with Warren Tactical sights, and was fairly impressed. So since I recently acquired an M&P9c with factory Novak night sights, I'm contemplating replacing the rear sight with a Warren Tactical rear (either plain black or with the single "stack the dot"-style tritium lamp). However, I do have a few questions, which I hope you guys can help with...

First of all, will the standard factory Trijicon front night sight work with the Warren rear, or will it be necessary to purchase a Warren Tactical tritium front sight as well?

Putting it another way, the Warren Tactical tritium front sight supposedly measures 190" high x .125" wide. Are those the same dimensions as the standard M&P Compact Trijicon front sight?

Secondly, does anyone have any experience with Warren Tactical sights on their M&P Compact? Pros/Cons vs the standard Novaks? Encountered any issues (i.e. problems fitting in holsters, etc.)?

I have the Warrens on one gun, a 4 inch .45, that had a .190 front that hit low (POI on night sight center, more or less). I had to put a factory .165 on to make a 6 o'clock hold.
The only experience I have with a 9mm compact sights was a Trijicon set which were perfect, the same installed on a full sized 9mm hit 2-3 low at 15 yards (benched).
I have tried and like the Warren, Bowie, and 10-8 rear sights, and like each a little better than the shape of the Novaks. The rear dots on the Novaks distracted me from the front sight dot until I blacked them out with Sharpie. The aftermarket sights are easier for me to quickly hook with my finger and pull the slide back a tiny bit to re-cock it for dry fire.

Your factory front sight should work fine. Most of the aftermarket rear sights are designed as factory replacements.

The Warren sight looks interesting. Never tried one myself. I use the 10-8 rear sight and it is perfection for me so I haven't tried any of the others.
