I'm bummed. I bought a lot of 19 American Handgunner magazines off ebay, 2017 to 2020 and was all set for some casual reading. Well they were delivered by the USPS yesterday, well the packaging was anyway. I received a sealed plastic bag with the packaging inside but not one magazine. Just the sealed bag 12" x 15" and about 1/4 or less thick The PS bag had a label on it saying they regret the damage. Caught in the machinery I guess but you would think someone would have picked up the magazines with the wrapper and carton and made an attempt to keep them together and send them along with the wrapping. I haven't unsealed it yet in case the PO wants to see it but it looks like the sender did not use sturdy enough packaging. I contacted them to see what they had to say thinking I would be offered a refund but all I got was that they would contact their PO and I should do the same. Sent the info to ebay and if not resolved in a few days they'll refund me.

Does this look like 19 magazines?

It might be possible to fit 19 magazines in a flat mailing envelope but I think it would be difficult. Perhaps he didn't like the sale price and arranged poor shipping to take his chances on a re-sale.

Not the fault of the USPS if the package was poorly packaged by the sender, but they will get the blame.

That is obvious. As soon as I saw the mailer I thought the same. Of course we are assuming that the USPS put the right packaging in the bag. There may have been more them one package damaged. I don't think 19 magazines could fit in a Priority envelope but if they did it was likely busting at the seams. I am waiting to here back from the sender; it is up to them to file a claim. If they don't get back to me Ebay / PayPal will step in and refund me ( and get it back from the sender)

Hope it didn't cost you too much. As others have mentioned regarding the package size issue I think I'd go back to the site and double check that seller's rating and history.... jmo

A few years ago, I ordered a 25 hp Kohler engine which was delivered in a large "BROWN" 🤨 panel van. The driver who delivered it set it on our side deck. When I came home, I found it there along with a large oil spill about 4' in diameter all around the box. So, I took photo's before ever touching it. Then, when I did go to move it I heard what seemed like the sounds of an eight-day clock going off, paining me to no end. It made me wonder if it hadn't actually been "air-dropped". Fortunately, the seller covered me and sent another engine, via the "WHITE" shipper; but, not after telling me that mine was the 7th engine damaged by that carrier that month. I can't even begin to imagine what happens in those shipping facilities ..... 🙃

Look on the bright side. Instead of 19 American Handgunner magazines, they could have been 19 Wilson Combat magazines. Now that wouldn't have been a mere bummer, it would have been a catastrophe.
