Anybody found a use for the bags water softener salt comes in?
Every time I buy some salt I always think that there ought to be a use for these nice heavy weight bags with a handle.

I crush aluminum cans and store them to take to the recycler (right now they are only paying 29 cents a pound so the cans are stacking up) and have found the water softener salt sacks are useful to store the cans in. Each sack will hold about 3.5 lbs of crushed aluminum cans.

I also used them to patch the plastic outer covering on air conditioning ducts in the attic but they didn't work too well for that, kinda got brittle and fell apart after a couple of years in the heat.
