Good morning to all.

My name is Bill. I live a smidge North of Salt Lake City.

I've been a shooter for many years, however this is my first foray (not sure why) into S&W territory.

I very recently purchased a Model 19-4, which, upon close inspection, appears to have been very rarely shot, save for the tiniest of nicks on the outside of the crown at about the 7 o'clock position.

I came across this forum when searching for reviews of this model.

I'll post a pic or three a little later today. :)

Thank you for the wealth of info I've found here so far!

Welcome from Pennsylvania!

You started with a great one, wishing you much luck with it.

Thanks much, rwt. I anticipate years of joy with this purchase.

Having problems locally finding affordable, good holsters (style, etc) for it though.

I'll chalk that up to the just being part of the adventure.

Hi Bill,

Just joined here too. Have you tried Gunnies out in Orem? They have the largest selection of holsters I've been able to find around the area. If you want I can give you the contact info for a leather guy out in Murray that has done quite a few holsters for me. They have all been top notch and his prices seem reasonable.

Mike, if I’m honest I keep forgetting Gunnies is down there until Nutnfancy mentions them again in a video, then I remind myself that I need to get down there to look around.

I have just now l, so I don’t forget again, placed a reminder on my phone for 2 weeks from today to make the drive there!

(Thanks for the reminder!)

Contact info would appreciated, thanks for the offer

Welcome from Tampa. Love the 19-4. It was my very first duty gun as an auxiliary officer and still have it 30+ years later. It has been retired to rest as a safe queen.
