I am looking to buy a flashlight to mount on my 15-22. Here are a couple features I am looking for:

- LED
- Strobe feature
- Pressure Switch with coiled cable
- Solid mounting bracket
- $150 or less for light, pressure switch and mounting bracket

I'm leaning towards the Fenix TA20, but want to hear some other suggestions!

Probably not the best time to call you're rifle a weapon imo.
Good luck with you're search and post some pics when it comes.

For weapon mounted lights as stated in the title: Surefire 6PX single output. For a 15-22: Surefire G2X single output. Flashlights with complicate modes do not make a good weapon light. Strobes belong in the club behind the DJ.

I like my Fenix TK15, the Fenix line is affordable and so far my 2 (the other is a TK11) have held up well with no failures.....both are pressure switch friendly.

I have no tactical experience to draw on, but I'd have to think that in a completely dark room, the strobe feature would blind you just as much as your target. I agree that the simpler the light is, the more likely it is to actually be helpful. I have a Surefire (single function) light in a Gear Sector mount on my 5.56 AR, and I love them both. Because of this (and a TLR-3 on my .45), I have not mounted a light to my 15-22.

On my 15-22 I run a stand in weapon light.

It is a Streamlight PT-1L. ProTac® Series - ProTac® 1L | Streamlight It produces 110 lumes off one CR123 battery.

I have it in a Viking Tactics mount. It is held secure with the .8" insert.

It has high, strobe, low. It also has a forward clicky. It does not, as far as I can tell, have a coil.

Total cost is around $60. ~$40 for the light, ~$20 for the mount.

Works great for a budget light. It isn't powerful enough to be used as a real weapon light, but then acouple of years ago we all though the 60 lumen 6P was the tits.

This isn't my 15-22, but the AEG and GBB and 15-22 are all wearing the same light.

I recently picked up a Nebo Redline Select (advertised 300 lumens max power) for about $40 at a local shop just because I had nothing better than a AA Mini Maglight for handheld illumination. I don't have a picatinny mount for it yet (not a super high priority for me) but there are universal 1" offset mounts on Amazon for ~$20 that sound like they work pretty well w/ this light.

Ergonomics seem like they would be pretty good for mounting on your side rail but I haven't had the chance to check them. End cap on/off w/ ring style selector just forward of the button w/ SOS, Tac Strobe, 100%, 50%, and 10% settings IIRC. Supposed to be water resistant to 3m for 30 minutes and it's an all aluminum housing.

I don't have any useful insight yet as to how this thing would actually function on the rail of a 15-22 but just throwing another option out there. Seems good enough for me as a handheld though so far.

I did not put a light on my 15-22 because I don't need one, however on my patrol rifle I put a streamlight super tac x Streamlight 88709 Super TAC X Flashlight:Amazon:Home Improvement

Mine is mounted in a 1 inch scope ring. The body of the light is 7/8 of an inch so you will have to use the GG&G ring reducer or a piece of inner tube. Then just buy the streamlight tape switch for around $25.

This set up is a great value and projects a bright tight beam. I have used this for night shoots and I can clearly see targets at least 50 yards away no problem.

I originally did not like the look light but my opinion changed when I saw how well it worked.
