Heading out in a few for one of my grandaughters weddings. Got the shotgun in back of the Grand Cherokee just in case anybody gets cold feet. (No,nobody's pregnant.)
I figured taking the double barrel would be more traditional. Good boy with a good paying job in the defense industry. The wife's gonna bawl. I'm gonna EAT!:D

Have a picture of my wife and I standing with her father who is holding a double barrel shotgun. Our favorite wedding pic. Be sure to take some like this. Decades from now you'll be glad you did. Enjoy.

As a duly elected JP I conducted a wedding a few weeks back and the bride's father literally held a double barrelled hammered coach gun during the ceremony. They all seemed to be in good spirits so I'm assuming it may have been symbolic . . . may have been.

Stu; I'm heading for Washington State for my granddaughters wedding in April. Saving up for the gas money. But no need for a shotgun my daughter tells me. Just bring money. This will make 2 granddaughters married, only 4 to go. My two grandsons aren't married yet.

I learned a long time ago to avoid weddings at all cost and to always keep the receipt for any wedding gifts purchased since they may go back.

Look at the bright side, she's a granddaughter, not daughter, so you don't have to pick up the bill. Been there, done that (twice).

Congrats, this is one of those proud days and I 2nd the not having to pick up the bill
