These are the grips the came with the 66-1 2.5" I grabbed last weekend. The right panel is numbered to the revolver but it has these weird black marker type markings on it. Anyone ever see anything like these? I never have in the time I've been buying S&Ws starting in 1978.

I know many of you don't like Pach grips but I stumbled across a new in the box old stock set of the Compacts in the properly marked box. I've always liked these on round K frames. They sure fit my hand great until I can find a proper polished old t-grip.

Thanks!

I have seen later K frame Magna stocks (silver washer but un-numbered) with green ink smears on the inside, on a NIB or never messed with gun. No idea why. This may be something similar.

Nice! Pachs back when Pachmayr made a quality product. I have them on my 66, 686+ and 60 J-frame, but had to send multiple boxes back before finding a good set because of poor fit and QA.

Outside of being on the 66 for the pic I don't believe they were ever mounted on a revolver before. Back around 1980 I had an identical version of the gun with the Pachs I lost in a burglary while waiting for a safe to be delivered, grrr.
