Well we have made it... Mountain carry

Thanks guys.... the Biltmore was a bust drove all the way there and they are sold out !?!?! Who knew...

Drove threw ashville didn't bother to stop given the demographic of pedestrians, we wanted nothing to do with it, we hit a nice amish shop locally and will do Mitchell mountain tomorrow and the blue ridge...
Mount Mitchell is a cool spot. Asheville is okay, they have some good beer and food. If you like ribs, the next time you are in Asheville check out 12 Bones. Good stuff.

Just a head's up.....and almost totally off the subject...... but reference the fine example you have there in your 1026.....please resist the temptation to take it (the frame) apart past field stripping.

From an armorer's perspective, and having experience with this particular model, I can attest that this model frame and internals (frame deckocker) is very hard to re-assemble when broken completely down. If it gets dirty inside, just flush out the internals with a good quality cleaner and re-lubricate after flushing.

Hope the gun gives you many years of service.

Thank you for the information sir, I've been informed by BMCM to do the same... short of a field strip and maybe a few rds here and there she won't be used much.

very very nice...I like the way you roll.....firearms and especially the handsome companion;).............as far as North Carolina and Tenn. are concerned I really miss our yearly treks down that way on the scooters to tackle the "Tail of the Dragon"....fun stuff;)

You went all the way up there and we're fixing to be in the '60's tomorrow . By the time you come back it'll be warm again . Hope you and yours are enjoying yourselves . We hit the Biltmore one Xmas time , it's beautiful , too bad it was sold out . Bill did his magic on your 1026 ! I know you've been chomping at the bit to get it back . Hope you enjoy the rest of your time up there .

A little up date for yall, or let me set the stage...

Its 45 degrees I'm in a leather coat. My 2yo is finaly asleep after a bust of a day... The 1026 is in the jacket's built in holster close to my heart... my pup is at my feet, you can hear toodies creek off in the distance, rocking back n forth on an old rocking chair with some warm fireball in a glass, reflecting on they year and the year to come.... I can't help but look up and think this is one heck of a view and one hell of life...

You guys are great!

Thanks
Erik

It is 45° on Black Rock Mountain in northeast Georgia. Something keeps circling the house making the motion activated lights come on. Hopefully a raccoon and not one of these things again.

Exactly why I have the 200grn hard cast... Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it...

I have Underwood 200 grain HC for my three .40 S&W pistols, and Buffalo Bore for my 10mm Glock 29.

Always nice to hear that a third gen is cared for and loved. I almost joined the S&W 10mm club when I saw an FBI 1076 for $1,200 (long gone now), but there are a lot of others that come first. If you ever sell it, sell it here. Happy shooting!

She will never be sold, only passed down.... many others will come first..

I rode the BRP at least once every year for nearly a decade. Maybe it was more than a decade. A trip to Mt. Mitchell was a part of that on EVERY trip! Loved it!

Thanks 18 we were hoping to see snow.. we are going to check out the Biltmore tomorrow and the following day mount Mitchell...

Table Rock in Linville Gorge is an awesome hike up, with a fantastic panoramic view. My black lab has made it several times! The road up puts your vehicle to the test though!
