I (we) could never afford a real Schuco, but I sure wanted one! I remember holding them and feeling their weight and precision when we would go to the big city of Houston shopping for school clothes.
Diecasts can become like collecting Colts or Smiths.
This is a Carousel/Hobby Horse 1/43 metal diecast that's becoming kinda rare, and when one does show up it usually brings some pretty good money north of $100 and climbing.
The really rare piece is the Carousel 1/18th model of Foyt's 1961 winner which has been out of production for a while. Very nice detail, and they're bringing rain if and when they come up for sale now.
