What ammo brand do you use in your 380 Shield EZ

I have seen a few comments on here that some of you have one of the new M&P 380 Shield EZ’s. I have put 200 rounds thru mine, all with Winchester White Box. I have had quite a few stovepipes of the last live round of the magazine. Could be me, could be those obviously lightweight springs, could be the mags but just could be the WWB. Maybe it just doesn’t like that ammo. I use the 2 factory mags the EZ came with and always clean and lube it properly. Not too upset by it, I also have a, new to me, Shield 9mm, love it.
But just wondering what you might have tried that works well in your Shield EZ?
ETA - asking for range ammo. Not gonna carry this until it gets more reliable, either I figure it out, S&W does or I trade it for something else.

I've used Winchester White Box, Magtech, Perfecta, Sig Elite Ball, and Federal American Eagle. Also used Hornady Critical Defense and Federal Premium HST. Initially had minor issues like you described with Magtech and Federal AE, but after several hundred rounds through my EZ, all the ammo runs fine. I've had no issues in my past 500+ rounds with repeated use of the ammo listed above. I think the springs (in the mags?) may have just needed some break-in. Who knows? My EZ seems completely reliable at this point... For range ammo, the Sig (100gr) was my favorite along with the Perfecta, followed by the Federal AE. The WWB and Magtech were my least favorite. For SD, the HST (99gr) is my favorite, but the Hornady ran fine too.

Thanks, for the range, The Sig and Perfecta you suggest will give me some more options to try. And good to know your EZ got better after a break-in time.

I also used Winchester White box and Inceptor Ammunition 380 ACP 56 Grain ARX Preferred Defense and 60 Grain RNP Sport Utility Frangible with no issues so far.

I used Magtech 95gr ball with no problem. Then Walmart started carrying Remington UMC 95gr ball ammo in a 250 rounds pack for $68.99 instead of the Magtech @ $14.95 for 50 rounds. After 1,000 rounds my Shield is nicely broken in.

Just going by several responses, it seems as if there really might be something I need to check with S&W about. I am a smaller woman so thought at first it was me but between hubby and I, there is a Kimber 380, Kimber 1911 9mm and my Shield 9mm that I have -0- issues with. I’m still thinking I might trade it since the initial EZness wore off as I really dont need it and sure don’t like dealing with it’s issues.

I didn't "need" the EZ, but bought it for fun and for my wife to shoot if/when I can get her to the range. I'm completely satisfied with mine and enjoy shooting it, but if you are having issues with yours, I'd contact S&W and have it checked out...

What I meant was I don’t need the EZness of the gun, I would never say I don’t need a gun in general, would have many if I could afford it

My wife's EZ is fantastic! S&W really did their market research (checking who is using the ranges) and developed a pistol, I believe mostly for the ladies that no one else did.
Read on the forum about "heavy loads" were causing the fired case and a live round to be ejected.
So, I tried the SD rounds we use for that pistol__Underwood's +P Defensive, that uses the solid copper fluted Lehigh bullet. No problems whatsoever.
For practice I mostly use Freedom Munitions FMJ for her 380 as well as all of my 9mm pistols. For practice any of the FMJ European ammo is OK_ a little hotter than our SAMMI ammo. Price for practice trumps brand although Winchester WB_ no. Too many complaints about it.
I prefer__in 9mm practicing with 124 gr. over 115 gr.
I normally purchase with LE discount so that's always a consideration in choice.
I don't think any high quality pistol should show problems with any high quality ammunition.
And, I'm aware of the EZ recommending no +P. However her's is
loaded (for carry) the Underwood Defensive +P. I've tested if for functioning and it's fine. We don't practice with +P.

And I recommend a little paranoia too. It's kept me safe. There just may be a perp behind that __whatever.

For my EZ, I run both WWB (range practice) and Hornady American Gunner (carry ammo and practice with it, sight in etc.). While I only have 157 rounds through it thus far, I've experienced zero stoppages or problems whatsoever. Just adding to the mix of replies. Good luck with yours!

Early on my wife had a few (very few) stovepipes with Sig Elite and Federal American Eagle. She is now coming up on 2000 rounds, the last 1000 being the Speer. I can’t remember the last time she had a stovepipe! We track round counts and issues via spreadsheet for all of our guns, so she knows to tell me.
