What ammo is this???

It's millitary ammo which I believe is 7.62x63 (.30-06) but I'm not sure.

Headstamp is L C 9 9


The cartridge on the right is a Remington Core Lockt .30-06 to compare

M2 ball is standard 30-06 150 gr military ammo. The bullet is flat base
FMJ.

LC = Lake City (the plant it was made at)
99 = 1999 (the year it was manufactured)

Ah... M-2 ball! With a M-1 Garand and M-2 ball, there's not much you can handle! Of course AP is better.

I'm pretty sure it was 66 and I had the case upside down. They wouldn't have much use for .30-06 in 99.
