What an odd Duck (maybe Ugly Duck is more correct)

I saw this listed in a For Sale add and thought to myself "what an ugly combination." I'm sure there was a reason to put it together like that. But man, that is some ugly duckling. Supposedly a Model 36. Looks like a nickle or stainless barrel.

Not really ugly (to me), just different. And it's a flat latch no-dash 36, so that's points in its favor. Did you buy this gun? Just curious. It could always be turned into a pinto. I can't say I've really seen any ugly old 36s. I kinda like it.
