First of all, I apologize if this is the wrong place for this question.

I haven't decided to sell it yet but if I do, I'll sell it locally. I'm just curious what a good asking price would be.
I know the value has diminished a bit since the 2.0's came out but, it should still be worth a decent amount.

It has the Apex duty/carry trigger kit, 3 mags (two 8 round and one 7 round), 2 holsters (a kydex IWB and a Tactical Scorpion Gear paddle style OWB retention) and a kydex spare mag holder.
Also, a Hogue slip-on-grip.
Not that it really matters much since it's just cardboard but, I still have the original box too.

I’d expect about $300 in the current market

I think it depends on how much a potential buyer values the modifications and accessories, but I could see $400-500 for the entire package. No way you'll make back your investment, so I would opt to keep it :). Good luck in your decision.

Grabagun had new gen1 shield 9 for sale at I believe $289 if I remember correctly.

Subtract for used condition but add in value of the holsters and apex and one extra mag. And that would be the best estimate.

Face to face sale will, or can save the buyer other costs like tax, shipping and paperwork fees.

If I were looking at a used Shield, my main focus would only be on the gun itself. Its condition, maybe how many rounds thru it and so on. I dont happen to be an apex guy, but i would want to know who did the mod and if stock parts were still there. Nothing against those who do the mods on their MP’s.

Guess consider that a potential buyer could be gun savvy and know the Shield inside and out, or could be a newbie and may have concerns if its no longer stock.
For a price, I would only consider used if it is a large enough drop from new. Only my .02 of course.

Around here they're going for around $300, maybe a bit more with the extras. I just bought one a couple months ago, with 100 round through it for $250 but that was just the gun and box and papers. They still sale pretty fast if priced right. Good luck with the sale.

Honestly I'd wait until after the election. If it (God forbid) turns to the Despicable's you could probably get more as I'm sure the stocking up will start.

You aren't going to get enough for a Shield to make a difference in anything... keep it for a nightstand gun where it will come in handy if needed. There are already over a million out there and quantity does nothing for enhanced value.

I agree with Ken158, just keep it. The value to you is higher than what it is worth to most other people; unless of course you find that one guy. :)

I personally don't buy guns that home enthusiasts have worked on. For all I know they're the second coming of P.O. Ackley, but that hasn't been my experience so far. ;)

IMHO, you'll lose money as a package deal. If it were me, I'd sell the 3rd 8 round mag, kydex holder, and the trigger separably online. Sell the gun locally for $300-$320. I'd list the gun for $350 OBO though. If you list it for $300, buyers will ask for $275-$280. If you list it for $350, they'll come in around were you want... They like to feel like they've; however, sometimes you get lucky, and a buyer will pay listing price.

I've purchased and sold dozens of pistols via ArmsList over the years. The mistake you run into by asking price advice when you plan on selling locally is that people on forums will base their response on internet pricing. Guns command higher prices on the private sale and gun shop market. Many fail to realize this fact.

If you don't mind pulling the Apex trigger, I'll buy it off of you....

If you're selling online or on GunBroker, you look to see what others are currently selling for and what they sold for. If you want to sell to a LGS, you shop around LGS to see what they are buying it for. If you want to sell in a private sale, you get the picture...

ArmsList GA

This is the best deal at $300 with a holster. All others are at $350-$400.

In my area, I'm pretty certain I could get $300-$320 easy for a 1.0 with no accessories. Across country, used 1.0 are going for around $300 on the private market...

I bought two Shields from a former co-worker a month ago for $360.00, a 9mm and a .40 S&W. A .40 is worthless around here as there are hundreds of LE trade-ins sitting in shops gathering dust. The co-worker was offered $250.00 trade value for those two against a Sig P365. I offered him $400.00 but he could not find the eight round 9mm magazine.

There is nothing wrong with the original Shield, just keep it.

I personally wouldn't pay more than the going rate for a used stock Shield. Your modifications are your personal investment, not mine.

$200 face-to face; $150 net online. If you really want to know about selling other than face-to-face without shipping and transfer fees coming into play, ask these guys...they'll give you a price which you can take or leave. I think they're part of the Bud's Gun Shop family: Sell Us Your Gun - Guns.com

As mentioned, you would get more if you sold the extras separately.
Since you mentioned selling locally, put it back to original condition, check to see what a NIB First Gen would sell for (if they are still available) at a local gun shop and at most, start your asking price at 80% of that price.

If you decide to trade it, again, put it back to original condition (Gun stores don't care about mods) and hope for 60%-70% of what a NIB First Gen would sell for (if still available).
