Factory 13 rounders. Those are what I would use in a self-defense situation. It wouldn't surprise me if you can add +1 or +2 grip extensions. I would never trust a Pro-Mag magazine in anything I am betting my life on. If MecGar makes a 15 rounder, I'd trust that.

Welcome! The Shield is a single stack .45 so the standard flush fitting mag holds 6, and the bigger one 7. Not sure if a extension is made for them.
