What is this object?

I recently bought a large lot of various knives. Cleaning out one of the bins I found this bone item. Because it was in a bin of knives I assumed it is a homemade knife. My wife suggested it might be a seed planter. It's about 7.5" long and I think made from an animal leg bone. Any idea what it actually may be?

Not really any idea, but your wife just might be right, It certainly could be used for that. It is probably an historic artifact.

If it was with some eating utensils & such, it's probably one of those crumb scrapers waitresses & bussers use to scrape crumbs off the table linens.
