I adopted the motto of the British Special Air Service years ago.

"I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them." John Wayne, from "The Shootist"

there are a few ......

but one of best is ..

" it is what you learn after you think you know everything that counts "

"We were always right!"
That line came from a 'Nam vet, in answer to years of disparaging
remarks about baby-killers, murderers, & etc. In today's society,
it could be used by almost anybody in uniform. TACC1

Luck favors the bold.

Don't argue with idiots, they'll pull you down to their level and beat you up with experience.

The soul is dyed the color of your thoughts. Think only on those things that are in line with your principles and can bear the light of day. The content of your character is your choice, Day by day, what you choose, what you think and what you do is WHO you become. Your integrity is your destiny, it is the light that guides your way.

"Whatever the question, lead is the answer" don't remember where I heard it.
"Don't let your Bulldog mouth get your Chihuahua butt in a jam"
"Talk to my butt my head hurts"
"If it isn't broke don't fix it"
"ACP protecting homes since 1911"

Semper Ubi Sub Ubi (always wear underwear)

I heard it on "Frasier" but it also advice that my mother always gave me, although not in Latin. Of course, she inserted the word "clean" in there! :p

"Adapt or die", as my old 1st Sgt used to say. Though a personal favorite is "Carpe Ductus", seize the duct tape.

"I only work here." Very flexible.
"Carpe diem" Seize the day.
"Carpe dupa" Grab the <insert famous R. Lee Ermey buzzword here>
Geoff
Who couldn't find the cavalry motto in Latin on a quick search.

"It wasn't my fault" (instructions on back of automobile ins. card)

"The dog ate my: homework, tax return, etc.."

"Life's a ***** and then you marry one"

"woof woofety woof woof" (dog talk for "that is not my poop on the rug")

"The check's in the mail"

"I only had two beers officer"

"Your job is to do whatever needs to be done, to do it right, and to do it now. No one has promised you tomorrow."

I don't know who coined it, but I saw this on the gunbox of the Marine gunnery sergeant who taught me how to shoot slow fire at 50 yards. It has become my personal motto.
