Is this like a Williams Peep that is side-mounted on the receiver? If so even blue Loctite is pretty strong. I'd go old school and use a dab of clear fingernail polish on the threads.

Also, I suggest you wax the receiver and back of the sight mount with paste wax or good car wax prior to installation. It will help prevent moisture that may get trapped between the receiver and sight from causing rust.
 
Use LocTite Blue, just be sure to clean the threads with alcohol or brake cleaner before you apply the LT

Purple #222 is recommended for screws 1/4" or smaller that may need to be removed with common hand tools. Blue #242 is for larger screws or if you really want to lock in a smaller size screw. For most firearms applications, purple is the best.
 
I used 243 (blue) on my gun. It would appear that 243 has a much greater breakaway torque than 242! Have I perhaps made a serious mistake???
