What made you S&W auto fan?

First semi-auto was a Model 39 I got back in 1981. Fit my hand so well I never saw any reason to get anything but S&W with that curved backstrap.

In 1989 bought a new 4506 since I was already addicted to S&W revolvers. It's been down hill ever since. Don't have a photo of the 4506 but here is a photo of my 645 I bought NIB in 2008.

Traded an HK USP 45 for a 1006. That was the start!

I grew up shooting Smith revolvers, moved to Glocks and then HKs. All good guns. Then on a whim, I bought a Smith 952 auto -- one of the original run of 200 without the grip safety. I liked it so much the first time I shot it that I bought another 952. Smith autos have been multiplying in my safe ever since.
