What Small Pistol primers Do You most Often Use?

Well, which is it? I find CCI runs well in my Dillon as does Winchester. Federal not so much. Been tempted to try the foreign brands but I'll send the extra $5 to the USA.

I have many tuned/competition guns and use Federal standard primers exclusively. Their sensitivity and reliability take all question out of whether or not they will go "bang" when needed. I don't shoot magnum class loads much any more or use the slower powders so have no real need for magnum primer performance.

Other as in Wolf as I bought a bunch of them for cheap. They work fine. If Winchester was the same price I would use them. (I still do but am "hoarding" them for special occasions)

WSP, here. I find them reliable. They also work well with minor reductions in rebound spring weights.
I have not tried them with large changes in rebound spring weights, as that gets into less desirable trigger/finger after-shot follow.

Absolutely. Generally because Federal primers are specified by Alliant, but I have never had a problem with any brand except Remington.

The only complaint I have ever seen about Federal is people don't like the packaging! Pretty silly reason to not use what is probably, overall, the best primer on the market!

I used to use CCI exclusively, but during the recent shortage I took what I could get, and found a good supply of Winchester. They work well in my Dillon, and I have a hefty supply, so that's what I use now.

Federal SP Match. GM100M, IIRC.

I shoot tuned K38's/M14 almost exclusively, and these are the most reliable and accurate primers for this application.

I prefer Federals, but when the supply was low I used what I could find. I have used quite few Remington primers with no problems.

I'll take whatever I can get. Every revolver I own is sprung to fire all commercial primers. If Federal primers disappeared overnight, I'd happily get by with those old hard CCI primers. My revolvers and trigger fingers are conditioned to deal with the lowest common denominator. I have never met what I would call a "bad" primer.

My preferred primer is Remington, which seem to be readily available in this area. Remington small pistol primers seem to hold together better when decapping than other brands, including CCI. I prefer a primer that doesn't separate into two pieces when decapping (the anvil portion from the outer shell), and Remington seems to perform better than other brands for me in that regard.
